Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee key financial reporting, close processes, and operational accounting functions. This individual will help ensure accurate financial data, support budgeting and forecasting efforts, maintain strong internal controls, and provide financial insights to leadership. The role also partners with various departments to improve processes and support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead monthly and year‑end accounting close activities, including preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and organizational policies.
- Analyze balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and provide commentary on financial results.
- Monitor internal controls and identify potential risks, discrepancies, or process improvement opportunities.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including depreciation tracking and reporting.
- Manage inventory accounting activities, reconciliations, and cycle‑count support.
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Prepare schedules and documentation required for external audits and regulatory reviews.
- Analyze operating expenses, trends, and budget‑to‑actual variances.
- Collaborate with operational leaders and cross‑functional teams to support business objectives.
- Participate in special projects, system improvements, and process enhancement efforts as needed.
- Handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance and oversight for a small accounting support team.
- Assist with employee development, workflow management, and department priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA are advantageous.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Experience in healthcare, professional services, multi‑site operations, or public accounting is beneficial but not required.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and general accounting practices.
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis capabilities.
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
