Staff Accountant
Our client in Winter Park, FL is seeking an onsite, direct hire Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong general ledger experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement and supporting schedule preparation
- Complete bank reconciliations and research reconciling items
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and prepaid expense accounting
- Assist with variance analysis
- Apply cash receipts and support accounts receivable functions
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Support internal and external audits
- Identify process improvements and assist with special projects
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of Staff Accountant or general accounting experience
- Strong experience with:
- Bank Reconciliations
- Fixed Assets & Depreciation
- Journal Entries
- Month-End Close
- Prepaid Expenses
- General Ledger Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
Salary Range $60-70K
