Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

• Manage a portfolio of commercial, wholesale, and retail accounts while proactively following up on past-due invoices.
• Review AR aging reports, monitor payment trends and credit terms, and identify accounts requiring follow-up.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, including short pays, pricing variances, tax issues, credits, and purchase order mismatches.
• Communicate professionally with business customers regarding account balances, payment commitments, reconciliations, and account status.
• Partner with Sales, Credit, Billing, and Cash Application teams to resolve customer issues and support collection efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity, customer communications, and account updates.

Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

• 1+ year of B2B accounts receivable, commercial collections, or related AR experience.
• Knowledge of purchase orders, NET terms, credits, chargebacks, reconciliations, and customer portals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
