Automotive Used Car Reconditioning Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. They will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.

• Full repairs of any vehicle components.
• Emission diagnostic and repair capabilities, using and understanding shop supplied diagnostic equipment and utilizing the information supplied to repair the vehicle properly and efficiently.
• Power train diagnostics repair and rebuild (engine, transmissions, and rear ends).
• Understanding of vehicle suspension and brake systems including ABS systems, and any related electrical systems involved; diagnose and effectively repair the vehicle using diagnostic equipment.
• Full knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and operations, including air bag systems.
• Electrical systems diagnostics and full repairs from installing a battery or alternator to diagnosing and repairing wiring harnesses.
• Full knowledge of A/C systems and their operation; diagnose and repair A/C systems and use A/C recovery and recharge.
• Full understanding of special tools and their use; read, follow, and understand wiring diagrams; capable of using shop equipment such as laptops, A/C machines, brake lathes, alignment machines.
• Work efficiently, repair a vehicle within the proper time allotted and ensure it is repaired properly.

• ASE Certification Preferred.
• 3+ years experience on multi‑brand models.
• Ability to read and comprehend.
• High School Diploma.
• Reliable Transportation.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Pass background screening requirements.
• Exclusive shop dispatching of all recon work.
• A/C Shop.
• Ample shop bays to complete work with new and/or well‑maintained vehicle lifts.
• Over 5.5 Million Dollars in parts inventory across dealer network to get jobs completed.

Ability to work a flexible schedule

Pay range of $18-$28 per hour depending on experience and certifications
