Middle School English Faculty

Position Summary

Trinity Prep is seeking applicants for a full‑time middle school English instructor. Qualified candidates must develop meaningful relationships with highlyed students from diverse backgrounds and collaborate with colleagues on a grade‑level team and within the English department.

• Advises students academically, socially, and in future‑planning; liaises between parents and school.
• Prepares lesson materials, grades papers, manages classroom, and gives feedback.
• Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
• Plans and conducts activities for a balanced instructional program that encourages observation, questioning, and investigation.
• Instructs students individually and in groups using lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
• Establishes clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects and communicates them to students.
• Prepares, administers, and grades tests and assignments to evaluate progress.
• When necessary, meets with parents and guardians to discuss progress and resources.
• Collaborates with teachers and administrators to develop, evaluate, and revise school programs to prepare students for Grade 7.
• Leads an out‑of‑classroom activity such as coaching a sport or competitive academic team.
• Attends professional meetings, conferences, and teacher training workshops.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising administrator.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent;
  Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public or independent schools with strong curriculum and instruction background.
• Promotes an inclusive environment that values diversity and holds others accountable.
• Passionate about the field of study.
• Capable of teaching multiple levels of the subject and demonstrating mastery of current pedagogy.
• Exceptional written, grammatical, and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
• Proven success working collaboratively with the English department.
• Must pass a Jessica Lunsford Level II background check and drug test.

• CPR/AED/First Aid certification obtainable upon hiring.
