We are seeking a Florida-licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) to step into a senior executive role leading the operational, technical, and professional direction of a growing surveying and engineering platform. This position is ideal for a market-respected surveyor who wants to combine hands-on technical authority with executive leadership and long-term growth impact.
The Vice President of Operations will serve as the firm’s senior licensed professional, accountable for technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and delivery across complex land development, infrastructure, and right-of-way projects throughout Florida. This role plays a critical part in shaping firm standards, mentoring professionals, and partnering with leadership on strategic growth and client expansion.
What You’ll Own- Act as the senior PSM of record, setting technical standards and ensuring compliance across all surveying deliverables
- Provide executive oversight of surveying operations, project execution, and quality control
- Review and approve complex survey work including boundary, topographic, aerial, construction control, and as-built surveys
- Lead platting and subdivision work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Florida statutes and local jurisdictional requirements
- Oversee right-of-way surveying and coordination in support of infrastructure and public-sector projects
- Serve as the firm’s primary technical authority in client-facing, regulatory, and professional settings
- Build, mentor, and elevate surveying teams, reinforcing best practices and professional development
- Partner with leadership to support business development, client retention, and strategic expansion across Florida
- Active Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license required
- 10+ years of progressive experience in land surveying, with demonstrated leadership responsibility
- Proven track record overseeing complex, multi-disciplinary surveying projects
- Deep working knowledge of Florida land use regulations, platting, and survey standards
