Electrical Systems Engineer

Overview

Seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong electrical/electronics background to support requirements verification and compliance efforts on complex defense programs. This is primarily a requirements-based engineering role rather than a hands-on testing or engineering position.

• Review and analyze customer and government requirements to determine how system designs meet specified standards.
• Interpret and evaluate electrical schematics, circuit designs, and system architectures.
• Perform circuit analysis and understand system functionality from engineering documentation.
• Develop and write requirement compliance responses and supporting documentation.
• Verify that designs are compliant with customer requirements, military standards, and applicable engineering specifications.
• Support traceability efforts across a large requirements database (approximately 1,000 requirements).
• Document and demonstrate how system designs satisfy government requirements and program standards.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure design compliance throughout the development lifecycle.

• Strong systems engineering background with experience in electronics or electrical engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and understand system-level functionality.
• Experience reviewing requirements and developing compliance/verification responses.
• Familiarity with military standards, including:
• Air Force standards (including AFMAN requirements)
• Must be able to review a military standard, understand the requirement, and explain/document how the design complies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel for requirements tracking and compliance documentation.

• Most projects are classified; candidates must be eligible to hold a Top Secret clearance (current clearance preferred but not required if eligible).
