Payroll & Benefits Manager (Paylocity Required)Location:
Winter Park, FL (Hybrid – Onsite 2 Days/Week)
The Role
We are seeking a high-energy, detail-driven Payroll & Benefits Manager to own and elevate our payroll and benefits operations across multiple states. This role is ideal for a proactive, people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and brings positive energy to everything they do.

—with deep, hands‑on experience navigating and managing the platform’s backend—and has a passion for employee engagement and service excellence.
- Own and manage full‑cycle, multi‑state payroll for approximately 200 employees
- Serve as the internal subject‑matter expert for Paylocity, with extensive knowledge of system configuration, reporting, integrations, audits, and backend functionality
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, bonuses, commissions, and adjustments
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Reconcile payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and manage year‑end processes (W‑2s, audits, tax filings)
- Partner with Finance to ensure payroll accuracy, budgeting alignment, and reporting
- Oversee employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
- Manage open enrollment, vendor relationships, and benefits communications
- Ensure accurate benefits deductions and system integrations
- Support employees with benefits questions and enrollment needs
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and internal events
- Serve as a trusted, approachable resource for employees regarding payroll, benefits, and HR‑related matters
- Partner with HR leadership to enhance the employee experience
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes related to payroll and benefits
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements
- Prepare and analyze payroll and benefits metrics for leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience
- Advanced, hands‑on experience with Paylocity required, including backend configuration, reporting, troubleshooting, and system administration
- Proven experience managing multi‑state payroll
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and employment laws
- Experience supporting employee engagement initiatives
- Highly detail‑oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Positive, upbeat, and proactive “go‑getter” mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership
- Hybrid role with two days per week onsite in our office in Winter Park, FL
