Business Analyst
Location:
NYC or Winter Park Florida
Mandarin speaking is a must. Business Analysts are the key points of contact between the business teams and IT team through which the project requirements are addressed. The BA will have primary responsibilities to analyze, specify, manage, and validate the exact needs and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial services operations, particularly in the areas of US equities and options trading, post-trade transaction processing, client data management and regulatory compliance.
We are looking for an individual who is excited about growing our business and has strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support using Broadridge BPS and other financial systems, such as FIS Loanet, Smartloan, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Broadridge BPS with other external systems.
- Liaise with external vendors, including Broadridge, to gather requirements, track project progress, and ensure timely delivery of goals.
- Understand and collect internal business and technical needs for optimizing middle-office and back-office performance and developing new business lines/products. Coordinate product development and management teams to verify project delivery from UAT to production.
- Conduct rigorous data analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization and business expansion.
- Other ad hoc projects/tasks as assigned.
Skills:
- Proven knowledge and experience in brokerage operations and familiarity with US stock and option trading and clearing processes, with a focus on middle and back-office systems data flow and scheme.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proven experience with Broadridge BPS and familiarity with its various EOD reports.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL queries and communication interfaces standard protocols, like FIX and MQ.
- Familiar with at least one programming language (Python, R, JavaScript, etc.). Able to process and calculate data under changing and fast-paced circumstances.
- Work experience in project development and management is a plus.
- Always responsible and self-managing in work. Able to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently while preserving accuracy and attention to detail.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance or technical-related disciplines, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
