Overview

IS4S is seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator to support procurement, vendor management, material tracking, and logistics operations for fast-paced defense and engineering programs at our Orlando facility.

This role focuses on maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of critical materials, and supporting production readiness through effective supply chain coordination and inventory management.

The ideal candidate will serve as a key interface between vendors, engineering teams, manufacturing personnel, and program management to ensure materials and components are sourced, tracked, received, and delivered efficiently in support of demanding program schedules.

Responsibilities include managing purchase orders, tracking lead times, resolving supplier issues, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory and traceability records in a regulated defense environment.

IS4S works closely with Air Force, Army, and Navy engineers and scientists to support advanced military systems and rapid‑turn hardware programs.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, inventory control, or vendor coordination in a fast‑paced engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing purchase orders, supplier communications, material tracking, and shipping/receiving operations.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, inventory tracking tools, Microsoft Excel, and procurement documentation.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and schedules simultaneously.
Desired Experience
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or high‑reliability production environments.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and/or ISO
    9001 quality systems.
  • Experience handling controlled inventory, serialized hardware, or traceable components.
  • Familiarity with Government contracting environments and defense industry logistics practices.
  • Experience supporting rapid prototype or low‑volume/high‑mix manufacturing operations.
  • Experience coordinating shipments involving sensitive or regulated hardware.
  • Familiarity with export‑controlled materials and basic ITAR/EAR awareness preferred.
  • Prior experience working in small, agile teams where employees support multiple operational functions.
