Position: Assistant Community Manager (61306)

Assistant Community Manager

Location: Westmount at Winter Park Apartments - Winter Park, FL 32789

Position Type: Full Time, 30-40 hours per week

Education Level: High School

Salary Range: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Travel: Up to 25%

Shift: Day (including weekends)

Reports To: Community Manager

Direct Reports: None

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists with daily and month-end reporting, including accurate reporting on resident ledgers.
  • Responsible for posting rent, collecting delinquency, executing the eviction process, creating and posting POs, and making daily deposits.
  • Posts notices to vacate and other community communications as needed.
  • Secures and manages lease renewals and prepares new lease paperwork for approval (at locations without a renewal specialist).
  • Physically walks and inspects the community daily, addressing issues and verifying property conditions meet company standards.
  • Responds to and documents community and individual emails, voicemails, and text messages.
  • Assists in hiring and training new team members as needed.
  • Monitors resident satisfaction through various communication methods.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of the property and regional competitors.
  • Oversees property operations and staff in the Community Manager’s absence.
  • Assists with leasing duties, including touring prospective residents and preparing lease agreements, as directed to meet business needs.
  • Posts all charges to resident and non-resident accounts.
  • Completes pre- and post-move-out inspections to assess damages.
  • Completes final account statements and ensures balances are sent to collections or refunds processed per BH policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous property management industry experience.
  • Must have a state leasing license or ability to obtain the required license(s) within the timeframe required by law.
  • Effective computer technology skills and basic knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and thrive in a fast‑paced, competitive environment.
  • Previous bookkeeping/account reconciliation experience.
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager/CRM experience.
