Purpose:

The Quality and Risk Registered nurse ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant care across ICFs, Day Programs, Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Group Homes through regular inspections, staff collaboration, training, and performance improvement efforts. This role supports ongoing regulatory compliance, enhances residents well-being, and drives organizational excellence through data analysis, risk management, and proactive quality initiatives.

  • Conduct monthly on‑site inspections (scheduled and unannounced) at the ICFs, Day Programs, Skilled, Assisted Living, and Group Homes as needed, providing quality and risk oversight and guidance, including the assessment of the facility and its residents.
  • Conduct frequent correspondence with Directors, Nurses and Management, providing consultations and guidance.
  • Participate and facilitate Executive Nursing Committee activities such as procedure reviews, protocol updates, standardization, ongoing survey readiness and compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in new team member orientation and training as needed, facilitating Medication Administration and Medication Violations.
  • Develop and monitor quality and performance improvement metrics; identify opportunities, develop a plan, implement and evaluate for outcomes.
  • Provide statistical data analysis and comprehensive reports at least quarterly to drive quality assurance, develop programs for performance improvement and safety for assigned Programs.
  • Meet regularly with Nurses, Management to provide oversight and support quality, risk and performance activities, including incident reviews and prevention of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
  • Review incident reports and monitor trends and outcomes; facilitate and oversee the implementation of action plans to prevent recurrence and enhance overall safety measures.
  • Provide clinical support to team member health initiative as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned to promote quality, safety/health and risk programs.
  • Adhere to attendance protocol and report to work on time as scheduled. Complete required training and attend staff meetings.
  • Project a professional demeanor, exhibiting willingness, positivity, and respect in task execution. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, residents, visitors, and others to accomplish objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations and fulfill additional responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
  • This position requires frequent travel to various company facilities and client sites, including overnight stays, as needed.
  • Demonstrates understanding of and compliance with all protocols related to safety and abuse identification and prevention.
  • Team members are expected to comply with all safety protocols and procedures and attend all required abuse risk management training.
  • Adheres to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising individuals.
Required

Qualification:
  • Education:

    Valid RN license in Florida required.
  • Experience:

    One-year quality assurance, risk or clinical background required.
  • Must be proficient in electronic health record systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Must be able to travel/drive to facilities including Ft Myers, Fernandina Beach, Titusville and all of Central Florida.
  • Proof of valid auto liability insurance.
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Driving record must meet the company's driving requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior nursing management and Long-Term care experience preferred.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$90,000 to $95,000 depending on experience.
