Watercrest Winter Park is hiring for a Wellness Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse. Bring your quality skillset and bedside manner to the table as you work in partnership with the Resident Care team to provide direct and indirect care to residents in a sensitive, professional, and effective manner.

Essential Job Functions- Servant Leadership directs all aspects of decision making.
- Serve as the Charge Nurse for assigned shift ensuring residents are well cared for.
- Act as Charge Nurse in the absence of the Executive Director or Resident Wellness Director/Director of Nursing.
- Contribute to medication management, including orders, administration, storage, documentation, and compliance with State Regulations and Company policy.
- Ensure resident rooms and common areas are clean and safe at all times.
- Ensure resident care specialists are trained and familiar with residents’ individual conditions.
- Assist residents with self‑medication or medication administration.
- Document nursing recommendations and daily care plans.
- Implement plans of care recommended by the Resident Wellness Director/Director of Nursing.
- Update change‑in‑condition plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and resident charting.
- Complete accident and incident reports as required.
- Maintain relationships with residents, families, and responsible parties.
- Manage emergency situations including disasters and fires.
- Ensure adequately trained resident care specialists are available for each shift.
- Wear company uniform and be resident ready at all times.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, families, vendors, and external contacts.
- Make independent decisions.
- Communicate in a warm, friendly, and caring manner.
- Adhere to guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Passion for working with and around senior citizens.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license.
- Minimum one year in senior living, assisted living, or memory care environment.
- Able to stand or walk 75% of the day.
- Able to work under stress and in emergency situations.
- Able to perform tasks requiring sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
- Able to talk and hear effectively.
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Work in all areas of the community.
- Potential exposure to dust, disinfectants, cleaning chemicals, infectious waste, diseases, and other conditions.
- Use personal protective equipment such as infection control kit, rubber gloves, masks, and non‑slip shoes.
- Follow safety policy and procedures.
Full time 11 pm to 7 am, every other weekend, set schedules, no doubles.
