Position Summary
Provide exemplary service of food and beverages to older adult residents and guests in a restaurant/senior dining setting. Expanded distinct duties may be attached to this document.
Essential Position Functions- Slices and prepares fruit garnishes for drinks
- Knows lounge menus and can discuss options with guests
- Keeps a well‑stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
- Has full understanding of the wine and beer menu and assists guests in their preferences and making recommendations
- Takes beverage orders from guests or servers and serves as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
- Serves guests requests in a timely manner
- Delivers checks and collects payments per restaurant standards
- Prepares and serves lounge food items for guests at the lounge
- Interacts with guests, takes orders and serves lounge menu and drinks
- Checks identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
- Cleans the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a clean environment
- Organizes the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
- Attends pre‑service huddles
- Maintains personal uniform cleanliness and pressed to restaurant standards
- Promptly addresses guest issues and refers with management as necessary
- Informs Food & Beverage Manager of needed liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies
- Informs Food & Beverage Manager of equipment requiring repair
- Checks refrigeration temperature to ensure proper beverage temperature
- Complies with all food and beverage regulations
- Restocks and replenishes lounge inventory and supplies
ESSENTIAL
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (students working towards a High School Diploma are eligible for this position)
- Experience:
3‑5 years of experience as a restaurant server – food and bar service - Full understanding of food service methods in a high volume full service dining
- Inside/Outside environmental conditions
- Blood borne Pathogens
- Respiratory Pathogens
