Trinity Prep seeks an individual who will protect people on campus and guard school property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the duties described below. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This position will remain open until filled.

• Patrol buildings and grounds of school property.
• Inspect doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure; monitor for irregularities.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and deter or address suspicious or criminal activity as directed.
• Inspect equipment and machinery for tampering; report irregularities.
• Monitor for fire hazards, water leaks, and security door status; report or address issues.
• Call police or fire departments in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Verify identities and access through background screening processes; permit entry as appropriate.
• Monitor security cameras in the Security office.
• Record data on property damage, unusual occurrences, and equipment malfunctions for supervisory review.
• Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the main entrance to maintain orderly flow.
• Write security reports; perform other duties as assigned, including some holidays and after-hours events.

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to promote an inclusive environment and support diversity of thought and perspective.
• Experience collaborating with security staff and school personnel.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straightforward instructions; solve problems with a few concrete variables.
• Basic word processing and email skills.

• Class D Security License required.
• CPR certification can be gained upon hiring.

• Must pass a Jessica Lunsford Level II background check and drug test.
• Must be able to work around children.

• Standing, walking, using hands, reaching with arms, talking or hearing; occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Regular exposure to outside weather conditions; noise level typically moderate.
