Service Plumber

Pro-Tech Air Conditioning & Plumbing Service, part of Southern Home Services, is looking for a dynamic Service Plumber to handle a range of residential plumbing tasks. You will troubleshoot, install, repair plumbing systems, and ensure compliance with local codes and quality standards.

• Diagnose problems and failures in plumbing systems and equipment
• Determine whether repairs or replacements are needed for customers
• Install and assemble plumbing systems and equipment, including valves, pipe fittings, and pipes
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on water and gas systems, pipes, fittings, and components
• Test for leaks using compressed air and/or water to ensure functionality and safety
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems by replacing washers, mending burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains
• Manage inventory of plumbing supplies in the vehicle, checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts
• Keep equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures
• Maintain safety equipment
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in residential and commercial plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and at least 3 years of driving experience
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications
• Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems
• Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations
• Experience with tools such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools
• Strong problem‑solving skills to diagnose complex plumbing issues and recommend solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and supervisors
• Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks, lift heavy materials, and work in confined spaces
• Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Customer‑service orientation with a focus on professionalism and satisfaction
• Basic knowledge of mobile apps and work‑management software
• Teamwork and leadership ability, including leading apprentices and coordinating with other trades
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls

• Lift up to 50–100 pounds regularly
• Climb ladders, access attics and crawlspaces, and push or pull equipment
• Drive and operate a vehicle
• Work in indoor, outdoor, high‑ and low‑temperature environments
• Stand, walk, sit, and use hands for fine detail work
• Regular exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather
