CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN) in Winterville, NC

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care. Skilled CVOR RNs play a vital role in supporting cardiovascular surgical teams and delivering exceptional patient care throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periods.

Responsibilities include collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals during cardiovascular procedures, maintaining sterile technique and safety standards, and facilitating effective communication among team members. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented nurse with strong critical thinking abilities and a commitment to cardiovascular surgery excellence.

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of two years’ recent CVOR nursing experience
• Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instruments, procedures, and patient safety standards
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)
• Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high acuity environment

• Prepare CVOR suites for complex cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
• Scrub or circulate as needed for cases including bypass, valve repair, transplants, and other cardiovascular interventions
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to any changes during surgery
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation throughout all surgical phases
• Ensure adherence to infection control, sterile technique, and hospital policies
• Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families
