Duties and Responsibilities
- Tutor students in writing
- Ensure that appointment details are correct and that all necessary information has been recorded
- Fill out tutorial reports
- Abide by the policies in the Writing Center Manual
- Expected to continue professional development as a tutor
- Mentor and evaluate student interns from WRIT
500
- Successful completion of WRIT
500 - Working knowledge of citation styles including MLA and APA
- Willingness to tutor online and in person
- Prior tutoring experience is preferred but not required
- Good understanding of grammar
- Comfortable with technology
- Comfortable working with a diverse student population
- Able to be friendly and professional with coworkers and visitors to the center
$11.50/hour
