Job Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to be a System Administrator for the Cyber Security Lab technology used in the computing programs at Winthrop.
Setting up and configuring computing servers and network architecture for the cyber security and computing infrastructure, creating tools and installing software used in the program. This position also requires working with system hardware, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
QualificationsPreferred students who have taken CSCI 224 or other CSCI coursework; however, students with strong server, network, operating system, or programming skills would be considered.
Preferred SkillsExperience with technology such as computers, operating systems, writing tools, bash scripting, Linux, Python, network administration, and system administration. A strong passion for technology and self‑learning ability to take on many of these tasks.
CompensationPay Rate: $12.50 per hour. Position type:
