Bag Line Support – 2nd Shift

Would you love to work for the largest independent dried fruit processor and packer in the United States? A 's client is growing and looking for employees to work 2nd shift in production.

Shift: 3:00pm to 11:30pm, Monday-Friday. Wage: $21.00/hour (received the $2 shift differential at hire)

Summary:

Production workers are responsible for performing production area labor jobs and keeping plant areas in a clean and orderly condition as directed. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Production employees will fill, stack, move, or handles materials frequently or continuously. Properly marks product or materials as directed.
  • Supplies fruit and all raw materials to the assigned production line in a timely manner.
  • Maintains correct product availability to line operations as directed.
  • Prepares equipment for cleaning.
  • Picks up pallets of case goods, supplies, etc. and transports them.
  • Collects and organizes the bin tags for proper reporting to production control.
  • Ensures bin tags are turned in to the Line Operator by item produced.
  • Ensures that the floors are clean around the dumping areas on the production line assigned.
  • Feeds fruit to the specified line making sure that quality meet specification.
  • Returns all empty bins to the proper storage location.
  • Maintains correct product availability to production line as directed.
  • Cleans and maintains production area in proper sanitation condition during and at shift end.
  • Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and safe work practices in assigned area, including written procedures for safe handling and use of chemical compounds.
  • Stacks or un-stacks pallets.
  • Removes excess material.
  • Weighs and labels bins.
  • Provides relief for personnel as needed.
  • Performs other duties relating to the overall effort as directed.

Additional Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Candidate must be familiar with safe machine operations where machinery must be cleaned while running; familiar with lock out locations and procedures.
  • Must be certified to operate a forklift. Picks up self-dumping hoppers, bins (full and empty), pallets of cased goods, packaging supplies, fruit, chemicals, and transports them.
  • Employee must be able to lift over 35 to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to work regularly scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
  • Ensures product meets all production specifications
  • Properly marks product or materials as directed with NC/WIP/FG codes or other marks.
  • Completes records as necessary.
  • Knows and follows both the Company GMP's and Food and Safety Policies.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly using common cleaning equipment.
