Syrup & Evaporator Operator
Join our dynamic team as a Syrup & Evaporator Operator and play a vital role in our manufacturing process! We're seeking a dedicated professional to operate and maintain our syrup mixing tanks, ensure sanitation standards, and support the production of high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a reputable company that values safety, precision, and teamwork.
Wage: $21 per hour
Schedule:
Rotating days on a 2-2-3, 7AM to 7PM
What You Will Do:
- Operate the mix tank and perform Brix tests, recording all results accurately.
- Clean and maintain work areas, including performing CIP on evaporators and tanks.
- Ensure safe work practices, following written procedures for chemical handling and equipment use.
- Properly record sugar usage, and efficiently move sugar bags using scan guns.
- Complete shift checklists and paperwork promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety protocols, including forklift operation certification.
- Assist with sanitation and upkeep of the work area during and after shifts.
Required Skills:
- Experience operating mixers, evaporators, or similar equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and chemical handling.
- Ability to perform Brix testing and record data accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Certification to operate a forklift is required.
Nice to Have
Skills:
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems.
- Previous experience with process control and quality testing.
Preferred
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a production or processing plant preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing facility.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with physical demands such as climbing ladders and working at heights.
