Lab Technician

Come work for the largest independent dried fruit processor and packer in the United States! We are recruiting for Quality Assurance Lab Technicians in Wisconsin Rapids. Continued growth and expanded lab responsibilities have contributed to the expansion of the lab staff. This position will work closely with the other lab technicians under the direction of the Lab Supervisor. The work schedule consists of a 12 hour work day with a total of three work days one week followed by four work days the next week.

The schedule allows for alternating weekends off. Wage: $23 per hour

Schedule:

Nights, 7p.m. to 7a.m. on a rotating schedule

Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests on product samples following established methods and procedures.
• Monitor, analyze and interpret test results and take action based on the results
• Clearly document test results and actions taken
• Communicate variances to Supervisor
• Operate, monitor and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Understand and meet customer order specifications
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and overall lab setting
• Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Food Safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Educational background with a laboratory or food manufacturing focus, or 3+ years work experience in a food manufacturing or laboratory environment.
• Ability to work hand-in-hand with a Quality Assurance team in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Must have an attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Effective use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Must be able to problem solve within a fast paced operation.
• Forklift experience preferred, will need to train if not.
