As an Accounting Supervisor at Viking Masek, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial accuracy and efficiency of our packaging automation solutions. Your responsibilities will be managing and mentoring the staff accountants and an accounting intern and encompasses a range of financial tasks that are integral to supporting our innovative operations. Large equipment contracts are processed with deposit billings and payments, and profit is calculated with percentage of completion accounting.

The Accounting Supervisor has the ability to influence change throughout our company by helping others understand opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and intuitive thought processes.

• Inspire and develop high-performing teams through clear vision, accountability, and leading by example.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement by driving innovation, establishing scalable processes, and leveraging systems and visual KPIs to manage performance.
• Communicate with clarity and consistency; cascade key company messages to ensure alignment, engagement, and buy-in at all levels.

• Actively advocate for company direction and decisions.

• Ensure timely and accurate recognition of project revenue.
• Review gross margin of projects and the impact of such to Income Statement.
• Monitor and analyze revenue streams for various projects.
• Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile revenue accounts and prepare revenue reports.

• Complete account reconciliation for balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial reports and records.
• Prepare documentation for audits and financial reviews.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Ensure all duties assigned as part of accounting playbook are completed by the respective workday for timely month end reporting.
• Perform financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure project cost accuracy.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and financial analysis for any variances.
• Provide feedback in weekly Projects on the Floor (POTF) meetings
• Provide recommendations based on financial data analysis.

• Minimum 4-year degree Accounting, Finance, Economics, or BA
• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Aptitude for continuous process improvement
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate
• Financial software experience
• Excel expert
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and technical background.
