Position Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Wage: Based on Experience

We are partnering with a reputable manufacturer in Browntown, WI to hire a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a full-time, direct hire, fully onsite opportunity where you will take ownership of plant-level accounts payable processes while also supporting administrative and operational reporting functions. Accounts

Payable Clerk Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable transactions
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain missing invoices and resolve discrepancies
  • Partner closely with Purchasing to address invoicing issues
  • Prepare and submit weekly payment requests to corporate
  • Develop weekly cash forecasts for accounts payable
  • Maintain vendor records, including banking/payment information updates
  • Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger
  • Generate and post monthly accrual journal entries
  • Calculate monthly sales tax payable and assist with quarterly reporting
  • Assist with daily operations reporting for plant leadership
  • Serve as primary switchboard support, answering and directing calls
  • Provide backup support across accounting and plant administrative functions as needed
Requirements for Accounts Payable Clerk
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work with internal teams and external vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
