Position Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Wage: Based on Experience
We are partnering with a reputable manufacturer in Browntown, WI to hire a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a full-time, direct hire, fully onsite opportunity where you will take ownership of plant-level accounts payable processes while also supporting administrative and operational reporting functions. AccountsPayable Clerk Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable transactions
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain missing invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Partner closely with Purchasing to address invoicing issues
- Prepare and submit weekly payment requests to corporate
- Develop weekly cash forecasts for accounts payable
- Maintain vendor records, including banking/payment information updates
- Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger
- Generate and post monthly accrual journal entries
- Calculate monthly sales tax payable and assist with quarterly reporting
- Assist with daily operations reporting for plant leadership
- Serve as primary switchboard support, answering and directing calls
- Provide backup support across accounting and plant administrative functions as needed
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with ability to work with internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
