General Accountant

Our client, a growing and innovative manufacturing organization in Marathon City, is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented accountant to join their accounting team. This full‑time direct hire position initially requires onsite work, with a hybrid schedule—up to three remote days—available after 6–12 months of onboarding. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

• Enter and maintain purchase orders
• Process payroll for 130+ employees using ADP
• Provide support and backup coverage for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
• Maintain lease records and ensure accuracy of related documentation
• Prepare and post journal entries with proper supporting documentation
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities
• Identify and implement process improvements within accounting operations
• Support special accounting and finance projects as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
• Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
• Experience processing payroll is a plus
