Cost Accountant

One of my manufacturing clients is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing finance and cost accounting.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support inventory accounting, cycle counts, and physical inventories
• Analyze inventory, labor, material, and manufacturing cost variances
• Maintain and update standard costs, bills of materials (BOMs), and routings
• Prepare financial and operational reports for leadership
  
  Partner with Operations, Production, and Purchasing to ensure accurate product costing
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis projects
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1–3 years of accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, or manufacturing accounting experience
• Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
• Experience with an ERP system is a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
