Join Our Team
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Controller to join our Accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong accounting records and controls, and serving as a trusted accounting resource across the organization. This position works closely with the Director of Accounting and collaborates with departments throughout the bank.
This position is 100% onsite.
What You’ll Do
- Review invoices, accruals, prepays, tax estimates, and other accounting entries for accuracy and proper accounting treatment.
- Support the annual budgeting process and provide accounting and finance recommendations to leadership.
- Maintain and review accounting records related to the bank’s investment portfolio, including securities activity, accruals, safekeeping, pledging, and bond accounting reports.
- Assist with regulatory reporting, exams, audits, Call Report support, FRY reports, and Summary of Deposits reporting.
- Monitor the bank’s daily liquidity position, prepare cash position reporting, and support funding and collateral processes.
- Serve as a backup resource for assigned accounting and financial reporting functions.
What We’re Looking For
- Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Five or more years of related banking experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounting-related software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including spreadsheet and word processing tools.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and process orientation.
- Ability to communicate clearly, work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Sound judgment and the ability to identify and select appropriate courses of action within broad guidelines.
