You will coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased, monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure highest quality at best value. Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. May recommend cost-saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.
Obtain materials, components, equipment and services while ensuring security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation and process verification, and system review.
Analyze and, when able, correct cycle count discrepancies. Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy. Compile and documents all transactions for data entry.
Your Responsibilities:- Support product supply and inventory plans consistent with the goals of the business or product line.
- Review, analyzes and resolves expectations and error reports from mainframe planning and buying modules
- Provide solutions for supply interruptions, which include finding alternate suppliers
- Perform cost analysis and volume planning
- Help resolve supplier inbound Quality Issues.
- Maintain Accounts Payable PO price exception report and resolve invoicing discrepancies following company policy and system requirements.
- Manage supplier businesses in quality, on time delivery and inventory developing cost avoidance savings. Monitor and process cancelations and holds to manufacturing orders / purchase orders.

- You Might Also Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
- APICS Certification
- Demonstrate core knowledge in production control, materials, planning, MRP and procurement
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Proficient in Excel
- Working knowledge of purchasing/procurement procedures
