Laborer Position

We are looking for mid to entry level laborers to work with our crews building bridges, dams, boat ramps, roads, and boardwalks throughout the State of WI. Work week is Monday through Friday afternoon. $100.00 per day per diem for locations over 30 miles from Janke General Office in Athens WI., Monday through Thursday. We offer company paid health insurance and life insurance.

We also offer disability, dental, vision insurance. Along with a 401K matching percentage. Room for advancement.

Hourly Salary Range: $26.00-$68.00

Overview:

A Laborer is responsible for cleaning and preparing the construction site, maintaining a clean site, and building temporary structures

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and assisting with site logistics setup.
• Load and unload construction materials and move them to the appropriate staging areas.
• Operate small and medium sized tools
• Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and safe, following all safety guidelines and regulations.
• Assist equipment operators with guiding materials as requested
• Perform basic maintenance on small and medium sized tools and equipment used on-site.
• Assist in setting up and dismantling sca Holding, forms, and/or barricades.
• Report any site hazards or equipment issues to site supervision

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a laborer or in construction is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including heavy lifting and long periods of standing or kneeling.
• Familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow safety protocols.
• Basic understanding of construction plans and drawings is a bonus.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.
• Valid driver's license may be required
