Project Engineer

William Charles Electric, a Mas Tec Company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the successful planning, execution, and closeout of complex electrical and infrastructure construction projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project documentation, quality control, scheduling, and field operations are completed efficiently and in accordance with contract requirements.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, and is passionate about delivering quality projects while maintaining strong communication across project teams.

Responsibilities include preparing scheduling of subcontractors on site, receiving and checking quality of materials, completing QA/QC checklists, submittals (material approvals), RFI's (general questions), preparing official documents for the project, routing and finalizing, preparing project reports as needed, back up documentation, close-outs final quantities, proposing/negotiation extra work, special projects within the Project Management function as necessary, and other duties as assigned by the Project Management Department.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree preferred (Civil Engineers, Construction Management, or related field preferred);
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two years of experience in Civil, Electrical or Industrial Construction is required. Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Knowledge, skills and abilities include taking reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company's Zero Injury principles, strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and good organization skills, ability to communicate well with others, both written and orally, proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore and Viewpoint, proficient in Windows based applications, and thrive in fast-paced environment.
