Providers must be dual credentialed for both Emergency Room and Urgent Care services.

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
Emergency Department
Urgent Care
Combined Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care Department
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide NP/PA Emergency Medicine coverage
- Provide Urgent Care coverage
- Evaluate and treat a variety of patients
- Manage both Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care patients
- Provide coverage at multiple locations as needed
- Help fill staffing gaps
- Assess approximately 12–20 patients per shift
- Perform appropriate Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care evaluations
- Stabilize and manage emergency patients
- Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare team members
- Document patient care using Cerner

- Approximately 12–20 patients per shift
- Patient mix includes both Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care patients
- Patient volume may vary by location and shift
