Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, to assist certified professional staff with students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives, and to free certified professional employees from non‑professional duties. This is an on‑call position; as needed. Applications are accepted throughout the school year.
Qualifications- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- To substitute for a Special Education Aid, applicants must hold a Special Education Program Aide License through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
- Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students.
- Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class.
- Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school.
- Special Education Aid Substitute will support students with special needs by following teacher directions.
Salary: Substitute Teacher Assistant’s are paid at $18.00 per hour.
