Preferred Qualifications:

• Successful experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school setting
• Skilled in providing interpretive services for students with Deaf/Hard of Hearing needs
• Valid DPI #884 Educational Interpreter License required
• Comfortable working in a one-on-one middle school environment
• Ability to adapt communication styles based on a students individual needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class and school-related interpreting services for a middle school student
• Foster student engagement and participation through clear, accurate communication
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support the students IEP requirements
• Facilitate effective understanding between the student, peers, and school personnel
• Uphold confidentiality and professional interpreter standards at all times
