- Prepare for and deliver instruction and perform teaching-related activities.
- Manage the classroom/laboratory.
- Develop curriculum and monitor and revise as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
- Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
- Assess student performance and advise students on academic issues.
- Collaborate with the advisory committee in the program area.
- Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
- Promote the education/training program, participate in efforts to recruit and retain students, and participate in efforts to market MATC.
- Support student organizations and activities.
- Develop relationships with business and industry.
- Complete program evaluation and follow-up.
- Maintain certification, continue professional development and stay current in the field.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:
Must have one of the following
- Must have a master's degree or higher in Sociology, OR;
- Master's degree in a related field
* with at least 18 GRADUATE level coursework credits in Sociology:
* Related Fields include but are not limited to :
Cultural Anthropology;
Political Science, Woman's Studies;
Urban Studies;
African American Studies;
Asian American Studies;
Gender Studies;
Criminal Justice;
Human Geography;
Demography;
Public Health, Statistics;
Public Policy Administration;
Cultural Foundations of Education;
Social History;
Social Psychology;
Urban Education;
Human Development and Social Policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Verifiable occupational work experience in a field other than education.
- Experience in teaching, using, and/or developing curriculum in a variety of classroom environments including face-to-face, blended, and 100% online.
- Must be able to develop and maintain curriculum currency.

- Experience with Blackboard or other web-based course - management systems - Technology-based Instruction
- Experience with technology-based instructional delivery systems including SMART symposium, interactive touch screen monitors, LCD projectors, DVD players and/or other classroom technology - Emerging Technologies
- Experience with emerging technologies (e.g.. social networking applications)
Start Date:
This position supports the General Education Pathway and is available to start for the fall semester; approximately mid-August 2026.
Hours:
This is a part-time faculty pool position. This is an "applicant pool" posting. Assignments are temporary, not guaranteed, can vary in hours/days, and will depend entirely on course availability and department needs each semester. Work schedule could include in person, online, hybrid, daytime, evening, and weekend teaching assignments. Parr-time faculty pool positions include in-person participation in teaching and non-teaching duties and assigned off-campus instruction (including but not limited to community education, workforce solutions, and dual enrollment) based upon College need.
All work must be conducted in the state of Wisconsin. Salary :
