Job Title

The City of Laxou is looking for a reference animator for its Education service to ensure the coordination of an animation team and the supervision of children during after-school times, canteen, and the Child Time Arrangement (CTA). The CTA is a program implemented by the city of Laxou since 1995, aiming to enrich the educational journey of children by offering complementary activities to the school day.

This program, unique in France, reflects the municipality's commitment to the development of young generations.

Under the authority of the after-school coordinator/CTA and the Education manager, the role of the reference animator is to:

• Coordinate an animation team on a school group
• Develop and implement the educational project of the reception structure
• Ensure the animation of all after-school times and CTA in respect of the educational project of the municipality and the educational project of the school group

Responsibilities / Conditions of Exercise:

• Ensure a presence on all after-school times to guarantee educational and organizational continuity
• Facilitate the circulation of information within the animation team and contribute to the collective dynamic
• Participate in regular times with the after-school coordinator to ensure the follow-up of projects, team needs, and encountered situations
• Contribute to the organization and continuous improvement of the after-school service operation
• Ensure a role of proximity relay with the team and make the link with the after-school coordinator

On the Lunch Break and on after-school welcomes and within the framework of the Child Time Arrangement:

• Ensure mediation within the group of children, conflict management, guardian of the rules of life
• Be attentive to children and favor exchanges within the group
• Propose and adapt animations in line with the educational project
• Arrange spaces according to animations and/or children's needs within the rules of safety
• Accompany children in their leisure times by promoting their autonomy, participation, and development
• Participate in the different times of daily life within the rules of hygiene
• Participate in the circulation of information between teachers, families, and municipal services: relay
• Raise awareness among children about respecting the collective life rules and fighting food waste
• Ensure the respect of the internal regulations among children as well as among families

Profiles sought:

• Knowledge of the functioning of territorial authorities
• Ability to accompany a team and ensure a functional relay role
• Ability to coordinate actions and transmit necessary information for the proper functioning of reception times
• Analytical capacity and initiative within the respect of the framework defined by the after-school coordinator
• Ability to supervise and animate groups of children
• Mastery of hygiene, safety, and child supervision rules
• Listening, observation, and conflict situation management capacity
• Ability to report to the hierarchy
• Sense of responsibility, autonomy
• Diligence, punctuality, adaptability, and professional discretion
• Knowledge of first aid gestures appreciated

• Holder of a DEJEPS, BEES, BPJEPS with UCC "management of a children's club" or any diploma allowing the management of a Collective Children's Club with more than 80 children and more than 80 days
• Experience in team supervision and after-school animation required
• Knowledge of computer tools (Word, Excel, Power-point…)
• Willingness to train will be appreciated

Art. L332-8 disposition 2 of the general code of the territorial public service - A contractual employee can be recruited for this position for the needs of the services or by the nature of the functions when no candidacy of a civil servant has succeeded. The proposed contract cannot exceed three years, renewable up to a maximum duration of six years.
