Location: Dousman

Lad Lake Inc seeks a compassionate Teacher to educate and mentor at-risk youth in a trauma-informed, therapeutic school setting. The Teacher will design and deliver individualized lesson plans, support IEP goals, and integrate life skills into daily instruction. Responsibilities include classroom management, progress monitoring, collaboration with therapists and case managers, and family communication. The Teacher will use restorative practices, de-escalation techniques, and culturally responsive instruction to build trust, promote growth, and help students achieve academic and behavioral success.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals
  • Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects and life skills
  • Maintain a structured, trauma-informed classroom environment
  • Monitor and document student academic and behavioral progress
  • Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and support staff in a multidisciplinary team
  • Communicate regularly with families and guardians regarding student progress
  • Implement restorative practices and de-escalation techniques
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to diverse learning styles and needs
  • Participate in staff training on trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and treatment planning for students
