Field Service Engineer-Electric Power Testing & Maintenance

Job Title

A leading electrical power services provider is seeking self-motivated engineers and technicians that are passionate about testing and repairing power distribution equipment. Preferred individuals will have strong problem-solving and communication skills as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ground grid testing, medium voltage cable testing.
• Service and test transformers, relays, breakers, switches, and other electrical apparatus/systems at utility substations and industrial facilities.
• Troubleshoot and test control circuits, communications systems, protections systems and other electrical apparatus.
• Perform breaker and relay retrofits.
• Ability to read prints and control/protection schemes.
• Complete and submit reports accurately and timely.

• 5+ years relevant testing experience
• AA in Electrical Power or BSEE preferred
• Proficient computer, phone and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedule based on client/customer needs
• Extensive travel up to 5 days/week with overnights possible
• On-call duty required approximately 6 times per year
