  • Conduct field assessments at residential, commercial, and construction sites.
  • Develop distribution system designs using GE Small world
    , a customized GIS platform.
  • Perform basic electrical design activities, including transformer sizing, underground cable routing, and pole placement.
  • Coordinate multiple customer projects and adjust priorities as customer needs or urgent business requirements change.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Distribution Engineers, Service Designers, Gas Designers, and other internal teams.
  • Translate technical and industry‑specific information into clear, easy‑to‑understand explanations for customers.
  • Maintain accurate project information and documentation.
  • Participate in team scheduling meetings, project touchpoints, and ongoing training.
  • Follow established utility safety procedures and requirements during field activities.

  • Reviewing SAP for new customer contacts and project requests.
  • Responding to customer questions and coordinating project requirements.

  • Completing computer‑based design work in the office or remotely.
  • Working with teammates to resolve project questions or design challenges.
  • Participating in weekly scheduling and team meetings.
  • Adjusting priorities to accommodate customer needs, high‑priority projects, or urgent matters.
  • This position is well suited for someone who enjoys variety and can remain organized and flexible when priorities change.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical concepts or a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to explain technical or industry‑specific information to customers in clear, straightforward language.
