Description

Kasco Marine, Inc is seeking a full-time onsite Engineering Technician. Kasco Marine is a leading supplier and innovator of aerators, diffused aeration, floating decorative fountains, de-icing products, circulators, and tank mixers. Kasco has a well-established reputation for quality products offered to the residential, aquaculture, commercial, industrial, municipal, and resort industries. Kasco has been in business for over 50 years and is a small but quickly growing company located in Prescott, WI.

Position Overview

Kasco Marine is seeking an Engineering Technician to assist engineers in the design, development, testing, and improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and products. This role involves hands-on work on the production floor, data collection and analysis, troubleshooting equipment, and support for process optimization. The Engineering Technician will also assist the Quality group with incoming inspections of raw materials. Other Quality responsibilities will include testing and support for both temporary deviations and non-conformances.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design, assembly, and testing of prototypes and production equipment.
  • Conduct performance tests, measurements, and inspections of machinery and components.
  • Collect and analyze data to support process improvements and root cause analysis.
  • Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and documentation updates.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs related to projects and equipment performance.
  • Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the introduction of new products and technologies into production.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all technical activities.
Working Conditions
  • Split time between office, lab, and production floor environments.
  • May involve occasional overtime work to support production needs.
Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience such as instrumentation or military technicians).
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD).
  • Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, motors, and industrial automation systems.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing technology.
Physical Requirements

Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50lbs of equipment and materials.
