Position Summary
The Structural Engineering Revit Technician supports structural engineers by producing high‑quality 2D and 3D BIM models, drawings, and documentation using Autodesk Revit. This role plays a key part in developing accurate structural designs for buildings, infrastructure, and industrial projects while maintaining company standards and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed structural BIM models in Revit for concrete, steel, masonry, and precast systems.
- Produce plans, sections, elevations, and construction details based on engineering markups and project requirements.
- Assist engineers with design coordination, clash detection, and drawing updates throughout project life cycles.
- Maintain and apply company CAD/BIM standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Coordinate models with architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
- Revise models and drawings based on engineering feedback or field changes.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs, schedules, and supporting documentation as needed.
- Manage drawing sets, revision control, and file organization within project directories.
- Support the development and maintenance of Revit families, templates, and libraries.
- Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to workflow improvements.
- Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology, Civil/Structural Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–5 years of experience in structural drafting/modeling.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (structural focus preferred).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with structural materials and typical construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project teams.
This is a Permanent position based out of Slinger, WI.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
