Key Responsibilities:

Process Optimization:
  • Analyze existing paper converting processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure the production of high-quality products.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and provide guidance on quality-related issues.
Equipment and Technology Management:
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning of machinery.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and collaborate with relevant stakeholders for implementation.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Collect and analyze data related to production processes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Investigate and address safety incidents and concerns.
Training and Documentation:
  • Develop training programs for production personnel to ensure proper execution of processes.
  • Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and equipment specifications.
Project Management:
  • Lead process improvement projects from conception to completion, including budgeting and resource allocation.
Lean Manufacturing:
  • Support Lean initiatives specific to the industry, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing machine efficiency.
  • Teach and apply Lean tools and methodologies to streamline workflows and reduce production costs.
Troubleshooting and Problem‑Solving:
  • Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting manufacturing process issues, utilizing root cause analysis and hands‑on problem‑solving approaches.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement effective solutions to ensure continuous and smooth operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., chemical, mechanical, industrial) or a related field.
  • 5 - 10 years experience in process engineering or a related role within the paper converting industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting manufacturing process issues.
  • Knowledge of process optimization techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work.
  • Effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling software.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
