Job Description

Join a dynamic team to provide essential production support to both the machining and assembly areas. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be instrumental in commercial engineering projects focused on fire and emergency plumbing and body systems.

Your role will involve analyzing engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine design factors, as well as sketching rough layouts and computing necessary design elements.

Responsibilities

+ Provide production support to machining and assembly areas.

+ Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.

+ Sketch rough layouts and compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and hole locations.

+ Plan and formulate engineering programs and organize project staff according to project requirements.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical design and engineering experience.

+ Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD.

+ Experience in new product development and drafting.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in the design package is preferred.

Work Environment

Work in an office setting where you will design and collaborate with internal and external customers. The engineering team consists of 17 members, with plans to expand by adding 4 more. Enjoy the unique product line of firetrucks, combining a small company feel with a large engineering team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Marion, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
