Mechanical Project Engineer - Industrial Systems

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer with experience in industrial utility systems to support the design, development, and execution of mechanical systems used in manufacturing and processing environments. The role focuses on end-to-end engineering of boiler systems, steam distribution, hot water systems, and glycol-based cooling systems from concept through commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on engineering experience in industrial mechanical systems, with the ability to design, analyze, and support complex utility infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design industrial boiler, steam, hot water, and glycol-based cooling systems
• Perform load calculations, heat transfer analysis, and equipment sizing
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, system layouts, and equipment specifications
• Select and evaluate mechanical equipment such as boilers, pumps, and heat exchangers
• Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field testing
• Ensure compliance with ASME, NFPA, and relevant engineering standards
• Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and project stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in industrial boiler, steam, hydronic, or glycol system design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of mechanical/thermal systems and calculations
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred
• EIT preferred; PE license is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
