Location: Spring Green
Electrical Engineer
Join us in designing innovative equipment for the glass industry that creates a lasting impact. Our electrical engineers oversee every phase of control system design and programming. This project-based position is technically challenging and dynamic, with some travel involved.
Essential Functions:
- Design equipment to meet specifications and needs of customer.
- Participate in project teams to analyze design proposals, specifications and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of design or specifications.
- Research and evaluate electrical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements.
- Use software to write programs that operate machines.
- Oversee and support equipment production.
- Observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose the cause(s) and make recommendations and/or correct deficiencies.
- Serve as point of contact and provide technical direction to ensure equipment is installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Continuously work to improve equipment.
- Collect and review equipment data to determine operating efficiency.
- Recommend design modifications to eliminate equipment or system malfunctions.
- Evaluate alternate designs and processing methods for feasibility, operating effects and necessity of modification.
- Continuously perform your job safely. Know and comply with safety policies, standards and procedures that apply to your position. Accept responsibility for your behavior and actions. Actively participate in safety training and safety meetings. Do not knowingly commit unsafe acts. Know and manage your personal limitations. Assess job hazards before beginning work and plan accordingly so the work can be performed safely.
Continuously monitor conditions that affect your ability to perform your work safely. Use the correct tools and use them safely. Maintain good housekeeping in your work area. Do not allow job pressures to affect your ability to safely perform your job.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors or better in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
Electrical Controls experience preferred.
