Kohler is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer to lead design, optimization, and integration of process equipment, material handling, and slurry systems within advanced manufacturing operations. You will define technical standards, develop equipment specifications, and drive continuous improvement for safety, quality, and throughput. Partner with cross-functional teams to scale new processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement sustainable, cost-effective solutions. Mentor engineers, manage key projects, and leverage data-driven analysis to enhance reliability, efficiency, and lifecycle performance of production systems across Kohler's global footprint.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and optimization of process equipment, materials handling, and slurry systems for manufacturing operations
- Develop equipment specifications, standards, and best practices for safety, quality, and reliability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost, and enhance sustainability
- Troubleshoot complex production and equipment issues using data-driven analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale and industrialize new processes and technologies
- Manage and execute large, complex engineering projects from concept through commissioning
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Support vendor selection, equipment evaluations, and capital justification
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, drawings, and reports
