Job Summary:
The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing manufacturing processes and inspection standards. This position plays a key role in driving cost efficiency, productivity, and product reliability across the facility. The role involves active participation in Product Development, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering projects, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements and production capabilities.
Education- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, within metal casting (foundry) operations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, leading process optimization, standardization, and improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of CAD tools for layout design and production optimization.
- Experience in process simulation to support decision‑making, process optimization, and scenario analysis.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, tooling, and inspection methods.
Proven experience in process improvement, root cause analysis, and cost‑reduction initiatives. - Familiarity with APQP / PPAP or equivalent product validation processes preferred, especially in automotive or aerospace applications.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies is highly valuable.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Manufacturing processes, tooling, assembly, and materials engineering.
- Statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and process validation.
- Quality and EHS standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100D as applicable).
- Design for manufacturability and cost optimization.
- Root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a structured approach to technical challenges.
