Process Engineer

Location: Markesan, WI.
Relocation package offered

Job Summary:

The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing manufacturing processes and inspection standards. This position plays a key role in driving cost efficiency, productivity, and product reliability across the facility. The role involves active participation in Product Development, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering projects, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements and production capabilities.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (preferred).
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, within metal casting (foundry) operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, leading process optimization, standardization, and improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD tools for layout design and production optimization.
  • Experience in process simulation to support decision‑making, process optimization, and scenario analysis.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, tooling, and inspection methods.

    Proven experience in process improvement, root cause analysis, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Familiarity with APQP / PPAP or equivalent product validation processes preferred, especially in automotive or aerospace applications.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies is highly valuable.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
Knowledge
  • Manufacturing processes, tooling, assembly, and materials engineering.
  • Statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and process validation.
  • Quality and EHS standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100D as applicable).
  • Design for manufacturability and cost optimization.
  • Root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a structured approach to technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities across engineering, operations, and quality functions.
  • Analytical and detail‑oriented mindset.
  • Strong technical curiosity and hands‑on problem‑solving approach.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional projects and drive change.
  • Customer‑focused approach with effective interpersonal skills.
