Slot Technician

Position:
Slot Technician Hourly: $17.25 per hour + Shift Differential Negotiable

Reports to:

Lead Slot Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on all gaming machines in accordance with established standards.
  • Attend and complete all training programs provided by the casino.
  • Adhere to all rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of the casino and Slot Department.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Attending all assigned meetings and maintaining professional appearance by wearing the approved departmental uniform.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in reporting to work.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Accurately document and report all repairs performed on gaming machines.
  • Record daily progressive jackpot amounts and repair progressive signs as needed.
  • Provide supervisors with a list of parts needed for machine maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Assist in slot attendant duties as required and perform other assigned tasks as necessary.

Qualifications &

Education:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
  • Successfully pass a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB).
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record within the department.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and health screening.
  • Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of gaming machines, testing equipment, and progressive signs.
  • Minimum of six months of experience in operating slot and video poker machines.
  • Basic understanding of AC/DC electronics and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in soldering, with the ability to read and interpret schematics and parts breakdown manuals.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Engage in constant hand movements and repetitive motions.
  • Frequent standing and walking, with occasional bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching.
  • Occasionally lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds.
  • May involve climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
  • Work in a smoke-free environment with varied noise and dust levels varying by location.
