Position SummaryThe Finance Manager will serve as a strategic business partner to operations and leadership, providing financial insights and analytics that drive operational performance, profitability, and long‑term growth. This role will play a critical part in supporting business decision‑making through financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across the manufacturing operation.
The successful candidate will be a hands‑on finance leader who partners closely with operational leaders to improve business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive accountability across the organization. This role will lead month‑end financial processes, forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning activities while supporting key business initiatives, capital investments, and continuous improvement efforts.
The Finance Manager will help translate operational activity into meaningful financial insights and will drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall financial performance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide financial analysis, operational insights, and performance reporting to support strategic and operational decision‑making across the business.
- Lead month‑end close activities including financial consolidation, variance analysis, key driver commentary, and management reporting.
- Partner with operations leadership to identify risks, opportunities, and actions needed to achieve financial and operational objectives.
- Lead forecasting processes, including monthly and quarterly updates to financial outlooks and operational assumptions.
- Support the annual budgeting process and long‑range strategic planning activities.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and KPIs that provide visibility into operational and financial performance.
- Monitor and analyze labor productivity, headcount utilization, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Partner with business leaders to develop financial business cases and investment analyses for strategic initiatives, capital expenditures, sourcing decisions, and operational projects.
- Support capital investment tracking, including post‑investment performance analysis and savings realization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost savings, operational efficiency, reporting automation, and process optimization.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other functional teams to improve business performance and execution.
- Enhance and improve financial processes related to standard costing, inventory, labor reporting, and operational analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive finance or accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience in operational finance, FP&A, manufacturing analytics, and business partnering
- Experience driving key metrics, reporting, and “anticipating” key issues based on forecasts, manufacturing capacity, and partnering with the Operations leadership (Plant Manager) to mitigate risk.
- Demonstrated experience supporting forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting processes
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and financial modeling capabilities
