Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. (PRMI) is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Loan Officer to join our team in an in-person role built around a strategic partnership with a real estate office producing approximately $200 million in annual volume.
This is not a traditional retail Loan Officer position where you are expected to build your business entirely from scratch. You will have the opportunity to work directly with an established network of real estate agents, develop those relationships, and become a trusted mortgage resource for their clients and transactions.
You will also have a dedicated Loan Assistant assigned to support you
, allowing you to spend more of your time where it matters most: building relationships, counseling clients, structuring financing solutions, and growing your production.
We are looking for an outgoing, knowledgeable mortgage professional who understands real estate transactions and knows how to turn strong relationships into long-term business.
What You'll Do
- Build and strengthen relationships with an established network of real estate agents
- Work closely with agents and their clients throughout active real estate transactions
- Counsel borrowers on financing options based on their individual financial and credit scenarios
- Structure appropriate mortgage solutions across a variety of client situations
- Originate residential mortgage loans and manage clients from initial consultation through closing
- Serve as a knowledgeable, responsive mortgage resource for real estate partners
- Develop repeat and referral business through exceptional service and relationship management
- Collaborate with your dedicated Loan Assistant and PRMI's operations team to keep transactions moving efficiently
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company lending requirements
- Stay current on mortgage products, guidelines, market conditions, and lending strategies
What We're Looking For
- State-licensed NMLS preferred
- Candidates with a Federal NMLS will be considered and must obtain the required state license(s) within 90 days
- Mortgage origination and lending experience
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions and the mortgage process
- Ability to evaluate client scenarios and confidently counsel borrowers on available financing solutions
- Knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, and other mortgage products
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Outgoing, proactive personality with the ability to connect naturally with real estate professionals and clients
- Ability to earn trust and develop long-term referral relationships
- Strong organization, responsiveness, and follow-through
- Willingness to work in person and be actively involved with our real estate partners
