Part-Time Member Service Representative

Altra Federal Credit Union is seeking a Part-Time Member Service Representative for our West Salem, WI branch. In this member-focused role, you will assist with everyday financial transactions, open and maintain accounts, explain credit union products, and resolve basic member questions. You'll promote financial education, identify appropriate services, and refer members to lending or specialized staff as needed. Success in this position requires strong communication, accuracy with cash handling, comfort with banking software, and a commitment to Altra's community-driven, cooperative values.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers accurately and securely
• Open, maintain, and update member accounts and services
• Educate members on credit union products, services, and digital banking tools
• Identify member needs and refer to lending or specialized staff when appropriate
• Balance cash drawer and reconcile daily work
• Maintain compliance with credit union policies and banking regulations
• Resolve routine member inquiries in person, by phone, and via digital channels
• Support financial education and community-focused initiatives
• Protect member confidentiality and follow fraud-prevention procedures
• Contribute to a collaborative, member-focused branch culture
